The 2011-2012 NBA season is in serious doubt. Well…the real season anyway. 2K Sports has the cure though: it’s time to prepare for the NBA‘s virtual season with the NBA 2K12 demo, now available via Xbox Live and PlayStation Network.
As is typical fashion with sports demos, you’ll be able to play one quarter as one of the teams from the most recent championship. In this case, that’d be the Dallas Mavericks and the Miami Heat.
New for NBA 2K12 is an all-new post play system, improved total shot stick control, and further emphasis on a broadcast style presentation, as well as the further addition of NBA legends, such as the return of Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Julius Erving, allowing for more dream NBA match-ups.
What’s not included, however, is an updated roster. Then again, with the NBA lockout, we don’t necessarily have updated rosters…
