Mega Man Creator, Keiji Inafune, Announces New Zombie Game

Keiji Inafune, designer of Mega Man, and producer of OnimushaDead Rising and Resident Evilhas been hard at work since he left Capcom almost 2 years ago, and now he’s revealed his latest project – code name YAIBA, which appears to be a ninja, zombie survival game with a very interesting art style.

“Everywhere I go, people ask me, ‘When is it coming?’” Inafune said. “There are so many zombie games out there, yet people ask me for a new Inafune zombie game. I am grateful for people’s respect for me as the ‘zombie game creator’ and to fulfill that I must answer their expectations with YAIBA.”

The game concept originated from intense soul searching by Inafune as he sought to create a fresh way to create a novel and unconventional game while still bringing a feeling of nostalgia for games of the past. “I am not at freedom to disclose the details just yet,” said Inafune. “But I am confident you will enjoy this new concept consisting of zombies with action, ninjas and mechs.”
