Medal of Honor Edition Headsets for PC and Xbox.

Calling all Medal of Honor fans! SteelSeries has announced today the availability of licensed Medal of Honor headsets for the Xbox 360 and PC gamers! The SteelSeries 5Hv2 Headset Medal of Honor Edition for the PC and the SteelSeries Spectrum 5xb Medal of Honor Edition for the Xbox 360 join the family of SteelSeries brand peripherals, co-developed with Electronic Arts for the Medal of Honor games. Not only are they stylish, but these headsets offer a retractable microphone and the ability to dismantle them into 3 pieces, making travel safer and easier.

Both headsets feature the SteelSeries retractable microphone system that can be pulled on and off during game play, and stored on the left ear cup. The PC edition of the headset, the 5Hv2, has an optimized soundscape for gaming in a hear-through cloth ear cup design.

While the Xbox 360 edition, the 5xb, offers an advanced soundscape that enables players to pinpoint the directional sounds of footsteps and gunfire, without being drowned out by the deep bass of explosions. The developers have also included an AudioMixer to provide easier access to independent voice and audio controls. SteelSeries also added in the LiveMix feature, a quick-button option that balaces Xbox LIVE chat with in-game audios, making voice communications mix perfectly with the sounds of gunfire and explosions throughout the game.

“It was a pleasure to work with the EA team to optimize and create an amazing design for these new PC and Xbox 360 headsets,” said Bruce Hawver, SteelSeries CEO. “Medal of Honor players will enjoy comfort and incredible sound reproduction, improving their precision and performance in game.”

While no real release date has been set, you can find more information about these headsets at the SteelSeries website.
