ME3 Leviathan DLC Officially Dated

All you Mass Effect 3 fans better be ready because today BioWare officially announced that the Mass Effect 3 Leviathan DLC will be released this August 28th, 2012 for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.

Almost everything in regards to this DLC has been sealed tightly. The only things we’ve heard is that Commander Shepard joins in on the hunt for the Leviathan following the murder of a scientist who was tracking the entity itself. Now if you’ve been paying attention to the Mass Effect 3 story, then not only do we know Leviathan is to be rightfully feared for killing Reapers, but Leviathan IS a Reaper – and one of the oldest there is. The origins of the Reapers will begin to unfold a bit more than it slightly has already as the search for Leviathan goes underway. If the explanation at the end of the game wasn’t enough and left that hole in your heart, this DLC will serve to fill in that hole.

I’m sure you’ve all heard that the DLC is going to, yet again, change the ending of Mass Effect 3 – which doesn’t sound like a bad thing to be honest, right? It means that there’s quite a bit of story-driven content to be enjoyed. The DLC will be $9.99 (1200 MS Points) when it arrives in just a couple weeks. Be sure to keep your eyes on the PSN, XBLA and Origin to pick it up!

As a huge fan of the entire franchise since day one, this DLC has got me excited and refreshed to get away from the countless hours of multiplayer I’ve been playing. So excited that I (in my own mind) had the DLC release this past Tuesday. I’m not crazy. I promise.
