Mass Effect 3 Details

In the newest edition of GameInformer, EA has released some interesting details about Bioware’s action RPG game: Mass Effect 3.

Mass Effect 3 takes place shortly after The Arrival DLC where Commander Shepard is on trail for the events that took place during that DLC. I’m sure details about what happened during The Arrival will be explained but it might be good to pick up the DLC at any rate. During this trail, the Reapers will attack. Not only are the Reapers after Shepard (and Earth) but the Illusive Man is as well. It is unknown how Jacob and Miranda will react to this or what side they will take. As far as playable characters go, Liara and Garrus will be returning to join Shepard. Wrex, Legion, Mordin, Kaiden (or Ashley) and Anderson will be in Mass Effect 3 as NPCs, depending on the events of Mass Effect 2. As far as loyalty goes, it won’t be as straight forward as in ME1 and ME2 but more like in Dragon Age 2 and the same will go for the missions

There will be more of an RPG feel in Mass Effect 3 as players will be able to evolve different skills and abilities instead of the few that a character was restricted to in the past two installments. Weapons will also be given a revamp whereas players can modify their weapons and pick up enemy weapons as well.

It looks like the character models have been changed for the better, and Kaiden and Ashley both look a lot better than they originally did in the past two Mass Effect games:

There’s zero mulitiplayer and several endings to be obtained. Events in ME1 and ME2 will play a role in Mass Effect 3.

I personally have my doubts about Mass Effect 3 releasing this fall but if it does, it hope it isn’t rushed. Mass Effect 3 will be released on XB360, PC and Ps3. It is said to be more aggressive than ever before and that Mass Effect 3 will feel like you are in a war game.
