Lenovo Japan Launches Erazer X700 Gaming Desktop

Lenovo Japan in a recent press release have announced they’ll begin selling their very first gaming desktop PC, aptly named “Erazer X700”. This came as a shock to me that Lenovo would consider launching a gaming desktop in japan.

The Japanese market is known for being one of the toughest markets to sell anything in that requires you to be stationary for long periods of time,  especially in the more populated areas of japan, where I would assume these PC’s will be marketed and sold.  Lenovo will be leaning heavily on  Sim City and Bio Hazard 6: Two very popular games that involve people sitting at  semi-extended period of time. For a majority of their sales.

But with all the surrounding controversy with Sim City, I  imagine it may affect sells of these desktops even more than them just being…desktops.  Overall though, the Erazer X700 is a solid gaming desktop sheet wise, as far as performance goes I imagine it would will be pretty good. But that will be up for the people who buy it to decide. Below are images and specifications of the Earazer X700.

Specifications:

CPU: Core i7-3820
ChipSet: Intel X79 Express
Desktop Memory: 8GB DDR3 (Max upgrade of 16GB total)
GPU: Nvidia Geforce GTX 660
HDD: 1TB (7200 rpm)
OS: Windows 8 (64bit)
Price: 170,000 Yen | 1770.65 USD
