The anticipation for Injustice: Gods Among Us keeps building, as Netherrealm Studios and WB Games have released another trailer teasing the game’s epic story. Lex Luthor is no fan of Superman, and thus it stands to reason that when Superman snaps and takes control of the Earth after a horrible tragedy befalls Metropolis, that Lex wouldn’t play along. That’s the basis of the latest story trailer for Injustice: Gods Among Us, an exciting new fighting game featuring the heroes and villains of DC Comics and developed by the team that gave us the great 2011 reboot of Mortal Kombat.
The trailer not only shows off plenty of the characters that have already been confirmed as playable, but keep your eyes open for Black Adam, Shazam’s arch-nemesis and someone a lot of people wanted to see in Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe. Whether or not he’s playable is another story.

Injustice: Gods Among Us is scheduled to hit Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii U on April 16th, 2013. We’ll have a review of the game shortly after launch.
