Injustice: Gods Among Us | Battle Arena Semi-Finals

The countdown to the release of Injustice: Gods Among Us continues, as their online Battle Arena reaches the Semi-Final round. In the latest video, host Taryn Southern shows us the final four combatants of WB Games and Netherrealm Studios‘ fan-voted hero vs. hero, hero vs. villain, and villain vs. villain matchups, and it’s no surprise that Superman and Batman are two of the final combatants, as they’ll face off against Green Lantern and the Flash, respectively.

As a DC Comics nerd, I know who’d be most likely to win their respective matches – Superman and the Flash – but this is an Internet popularity contest, of course, and the Internet sure loves itself some Batman. Regardless, you can log onto the game’s website and vote for a chance to win some cool prizes, including a collector’s edition of the game, which hits PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii U on April 16th. The developers have already announced plans to support at least the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions with a DLC Season Pass, as well as all of the various DLC that has been promised as retailer exclusives.

The story of Injustice: Gods Among Us has many DC fans excited, as it looks to capture the fun of the story mode from the Mortal Kombat reboot (also done by the same team). In it, Superman and the Justice League take over the world and turn it into practically a giant police state, with only Batman and a few others standing against them.
