In a press-release today, a new eSports focused expo was announced to be hosted in Seattle early in 2018. The Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue will host the three day event.

The expo will include several different zones and areas.  It will feature gaming stages, a discover theater, contests, eSports competitions and a fan expo zone. The event will last for three days. Featured games will include nearly all genres of eSport titles.  There will be inclusion of MOBAs, FPS titles, card games, fighting title, sports games and strategy games.

Event executive director said of the expo: “We envision an event in which the attendees play the latest games, meet with experienced players, and learn how to be successful in eSports.”

The board of advisors for the event includes individuals from Intel, Curse Media, Splyce Gaming, RumbleMonkey, and Stimulant. Event organizers hope to bring is a wide range of experts to create an all encompassing eSports experience.

Jacob Rapport, CEO of RumbleMonkey and GG Expo said of the event: “Our aspiration is to create something truly unique for the players. GG Expo 2018 is where esports communities come together to share their appreciation for what they love. ‘GG’ is shorthand for ‘good game,’ something that’s immediately recognizable to players and fans of eSports alike, and highlights the community focused mission of GG Expo. It’s about creating the show fellow gamers and eSports enthusiasts want to see.”

With the continued growth of eSports, we will likely see more events like this in the near future. Stay tuned for more detail about the expo and look out for tickets early in 2018.
