Flappy Bird Developer: Yes, Flappy Bird is Returning

After being removed from all app stores for a little over a month, Flappy Bird will be returning to smartphones.

The game’s developer, Dong Nguyen, tweeted a response to a question about the game’s return

Nguyen doesn’t give an exact timeline, though we know he abruptly took the game off the market after hounding emails about “workers who had lost their jobs” and  “a mother who had stopped talking to her kids.”

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Nguyen made sure not to rule out the return of his addictive creation, and in fact said that if he were to bring Flappy Bird back there would be a warning: “Please take a break.”

While this may hurt the sales of Flappy Bird toting smartphones everywhere, the general public who are feening for the game can sleep soundly knowing that soon…or maybe not so soon…they’ll have the game on their own phones.
