Sarcastic Gamer is sponsoring a 24 hour gaming event called Extra Life, to help raise money for the Childrens Miracle Network. All the money raised from today until October 16th will go to a Children’s Hospital of my choice, which is Miami Children’s Hospital.
Here’s the rundown from my donation page:
Hi I’m Jennifer Kibble and this year I’m raising money and awareness for my local Children’s Miracle Network hospital, Miami Children’s Hospital. On October 16th, 2010 I’ll attempt to play video games for 24-hours straight, and I’ve asked you to come by in hopes that you’ll support me by giving just $1.00 per hour ($24 total). Your donation is tax-deductible and 100% of your gift goes to help heal sick kids, here in Miami, FL. This Fall, my fellow Extra Life gamers are going to make miracles happen for kids. I can’t do that without your support. My goal is to raise $200.00. I’ve been gaming since I was very little and to be able to do something that I love to help children is a great opportunity. I’m planning on doing my 24 hour gaming session on Friday, October 15th since I have to work Sunday and I don’t want to be a zombie while at work. I’ll try to have a video feed so check back here for more updates and information.
Thank you for your time, support, and participation.
So there you have it. Check this page out if you would like to donate. I figure since I play so much already, I might as well do something to help out those who cannot. I would really appreciate any and all support for this.
I’ll be doing a live stream on UStream starting early Friday morning. I’m not sure what time I will start but it will be from anywhere from 8am to 10am. Here is the link to the stream or you can watch below.
So far the list of games that I will be playing are as follows:
Halo Reach (on legendary setting)
Halo 3: ODST
Lips
Rock Band 2
Mass Effect 2 (on hardest setting)
Civ V
