E3 2019 – Square Enix 2019 Press Conference All Trailers and Reveals

Coming off of 2018’s Square Enix conference that revealed such stellar titles like The Quiet Man, and an awfully audio mixed Kingdom Hearts III trailer, expectations were pretty low this year. For fans of JRPG’s, Square Enix came packing the heat and a few punches.

Marvel’s The Avengers Revealed

We have been waiting since 2015 to see more of this game and it was finally time for Crystal Dynamics to show us our favorite group of superheroes. To close out Square’s conference, Marvel’s The Avengers came out with a bang, and showed an emotional Iron Man dealing with the loss of Steve Rogers. It seems there’s so much more to the story and we will get to finally play it when it releases May 15, 2020.

Final Fantasy VIII Remastered

When Square Enix announced all a slew of Final Fantasy games coming to the Nintendo Switch, one beloved entry was missing. Final Fantasy VIII was for some reason not included, but damn are did they give it to us. Final Fantasy VIII Remastered is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC this year…finally!

Final Fantasy VII Remake

The Final Fantasy’s just keep on coming, and its not over because we got an extended look at Final Fantasy VII Remake’s gameplay, a boss battle, and our first look at Aerith and Tifa combat. That wasn’t the only news, we got our first look at Sephiroth, the reveal of a not-so-cheap collectors edition at $399, and the release date (originally announced at the Final Fantasy concert June 9th) of March 3, 2020.

Final Fantasy 14 Online: Shadowbringers

Square Enix’s popular MMO continues to draw in players and subscribers with its constantly growing world and content. Final Fantasy XIV Online: Shadowbringers is out July 2, and adds two new jobs, new playable races, and a slew of content.

Kingdom Hearts III Re:Mind DLC

Kingdom Hearts continues to add ridiculous names to the already long list of confusing entries to the game but we still can’t help but get hyped for more! Kingdom Hearts III Re:Mind gives players the chance to fight off the darkness using Aqua, Roxas, and Riku. The DLC is set to release this winter for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered

Yes, still more Final Fantasy, but this one’s different, its Crystal Chronicles! And the remaster has been announced for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, iOS and Android. Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered does not have a release date yet, but it will support four player local and online multiplayer!

Dragon Quest Builders 2

As huge fans of the first Dragon Quest Builders, we cannot wait to get our hands on Dragon Quest Builders 2 this July 12th. The trailer shows a more in depth story, combat and some co-op gameplay!

Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age (Switch)

Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age is coming to the Nintendo Switch, which we knew, but it never hurts to be reminded that we will get a chance to take this huge RPG on the go. This definitive edition also comes with the ability to switch from English to Japanese voices and retro inspired graphics, set to release this fall.

The Last Remnant Remastered (Switch)

Square Enix is on a remaster kick and they keep coming with The Last Remnant Remastered coming to the Nintendo Switch. In fact, it was shadowdropped on the eShop the minute it was announced. If you missed this game the first time, now’s your chance to hopefully, not miss it again.

Oninaki

It is hard to notice Oninaki with all of the hyped up remasters Square Enix announced but when we originally saw this game we fell in love with it. Oninaki is coming soon, August 22, 2019 and we cannot wait to play it!

Outriders Revealed

There weren’t too many new IP’s from Square Enix, but developers People Can Fly, showed up with Outriders had us interested. There wasn’t too much shown but hopefully we will see more before its Summer 2020 release.
