E3 2014 | Zombies Unleashed in Dead Island 2 Trailer

The world can’t get enough of the supposed post-apocalyptic world overrun by zombies. Some may argue that this recurring, rehashed theme needs to finally be put to sleep, but not when you have cool developers like Deep Silver releasing an epic trailer of the newly announced Dead Island 2 for the PlayStation 4 during Sony‘s E3 2014 press conference.

Honestly, how awesome would it be to start off our usual morning taking a jog along the beach, oblivious to the slowly growing zombified world around us until we realize that our skin is turning pale, that our lips are peeling off or that–God forbid–our full head of hair flies right off of our cranium? Honestly, it sounds like fun.

Backed by some groovy workout music, the new Dead Island 2 trailer presented at E3 seems to mark the series deviation from a serious plot line, turning to a more comical, light-hearted zombie adventure similar to some of the other zombie-centered titles that we’ve seen done by other developers and publishers before it. Did I also forget to mention that Jack Black also appears in this one? Yes, the Jack Black, one-half member of Tenacious D and a long-time movie star of films such as School of Rock.

Anyways, after seeing the official E3 trailer for Dead Island 2 below, you’ll be dying to smash some undead brains, and maybe jack some of their kicks if they happen to be wearing any. There is no definite release date, but post-apocalyptic Air Force Ones sounds nice. Worn by an undead Lebron James? Yes, please.
