E3 2014 | Playing Defense Gets Better In Madden 15

What would EA’s E3 2014 conference be without their top dog sports franchise taking a stage and wowing Football fans? Three days ago, EA showed off the official E3 trailer for Madden 15. Today’s EA E3 conference, however went a little deeper as EA Sports General Manager of American Football Cam Webber came on stage to talk about playing defense, a rather tough job on the gridiron.

In Madden 15, players will have a larger amount of control when it comes to pressuring the opponent’s offense. In previous versions of Madden, players on the defensive choose a player that they best felt would complete the job of trying to sack the Quarterback and doing it with a camera that caught on to an overhead view. In Madden 15, the camera focuses directly behind your player on the defensive end. Players can engage in the defense tackle lock up or figure out ways to stay past the opponents quarterback defenders or push them out of the line so that other defensive tacklers can get through.

Madden 15 also helps players execute their tackles more efficiently when gunning down the ball carrier. Players can get a tunnel vision on their target for swift takedown or go for the more powerful, head rocking knockdown.

These sets of skills at the disposal of a player on the defensive end will definitely be utilized in more ways than one. For the official E3 gameplay trailer of Madden 15, check out the trailer below.
