E3 2014 | New Gameplay From UFC Featuring Bruce Lee

Ahead of next weeks release of EA‘s UFC, they have provided some new gameplay footage at their conference at E3 2014.

Creative Director Brian Hayes took the audience to the fifth round of a match between the legendary Bruce Lee and powerhouse B.J. Penn. The toll of the fight between the two is obvious as bruises and other signs of wear and tear are seen on their bodies. Each player fights to their strength. For example, Bruce Lee and his ‘Fists of Fury’ are better off on his feet while B.J. Penn and his Brazilian Jiu-jitsu style are best at ground and pound.

The strengths of each player are evident and of course at the end of the fight, EA has included moves such as a devastating wall jump-kick which Bruce Lee uses to inflict incredible damage. The final move was a crippling foot by the legend to the jaw of B.J. Penn to end the fight.

The gameplay shown at E3 shows some promising new innovations for the latest UFC game that fans should be pleased with.

Set to be released on June 17, does anyone really want to be anyone other than Bruce Lee? To bad Chuck Norris isn’t there for a ‘Way of the Dragon‘ rematch.
