E3 2014 | EA Shows Off Mirror's Edge 2

If there was one game we wanted to see at EA’s E3 2014 press conference, it was Mirror’s Edge 2. We saw it. They showed off a video based around Mirror’s Edge 2 ‘s development, demonstrating some various concept footage from the game.

We also get to see various different character models of main protagonist, Faith. The video is less of a trailer and more of a dev diary, featuring developer interviews and prototype footage as opposed to regular gameplay and story trailers. This is also something we saw with other games shown off during their E3 2014 press conference.

The team talks about how they design levels for both traversal and combat, making the transition between the two as smooth and as seamless as possible, allowing you to use the improved game mechanics to aid you in combat. They also talked about retaining the character’s iconic look, even showing a block version of the character with the basic colours. This was the first prototype of Faith and even features her iconic red glove.

Mirror’s Edge 2 is currently scheduled to release on PS4, Xbox One and PC at some point during 2015. Are you as excited for Mirror’s Edge 2 as we are? Are you happy with how E3 2014 is going so far? Let us know in the comments or on Twitter.
