Hail to the King
Duke Nukem forever, the longest game in development ever has finally been given the go ahead. Along with a Press release claiming that the game has gone Gold, were a few quotes from top men in high places. And even they sound pretty sceptical.
Who could blame anyone for being unconvinced about the Game of Games, its been nearly 15 years and the Duke has gone into remission more then a few times. But it seems like 2K, Triple A and Gearbox finally have a complete game.
Its feels good, don’t it? To know that there’s people out there, who care so much for the yellow crew cutted one man army. And now for this news of the games completion, I can almost shed a tear.
In the press release about the long awaited finalisation of a gaming era, a few top men gave there insight. First of all 2K President ‘Christoph Hartmann’ said ”Today marks an amazing day in the annals of gaming lore, the day where the legend of Duke Nukem Forever is finally complete”. He sounds astonished.
Even 3D Realms ‘George Broussard’ said “Duke Nukem Forever and its journey to store shelves is legendary.” And hes totally right. Duke Nukem Forever has gone from another extradinary Duke adventure, to a Video game version of Saving Private Ryan. Its just incredible to see it finally come to life, and on its way to all the fans.
So there you have it. Duke is finally ready to wipe the dusty alien skulls from his Throne, and take his true place as the King of the Games.
