Looks like Duke Nukem Forever will actually be made. It’s okay, run to your calendar to make sure that it’s not April 1st, I can wait.
Duke Nukem Forever will be released on XB360, Ps3, and PC sometime in 2011 by 2K Games and Gearbox. Duke Nukem Forever is a first person shooter with both single and multi-player options. Gamers have been waiting since 1997 for Duke Nukem Forever and hopefully there will be no more delays. But waiting so long for a game and having to deal with complications about its release, the question remains, will this game be worth it?
“After a hiatus from the video game world, Duke Nukem is back and better than ever. The return of the King from the glory days of shooters will satisfy our patient, die-hard fans, as well as a new generation of bubble gum-chewing, flat top and shades-wearing bad-asses. Make no mistake about it – Duke Nukem Forever is a testament to the era of when shooters were bodacious and fun.” – Christoph Hartmann, president of 2K
Those at PAX this year will be able to get their hands on this long awaited title at booth #3417. That is, if you’re 17 or older, which makes me assume that the game will be rated M.
“Gearbox has enabled die-hard key Duke Nukem franchise builders and skilled veteran game makers to stand together and deliver. All gamers deserve a happy ending and after all of us gamers feeling the full range of emotions about Duke Nukem Forever, I am thrilled to be in a position with the trust, power and means to make it happen. Am I crazy? Balls of steel, baby, balls of steel!” – Randy Pitchford, president of Gearbox Software
