Here we are already in August and we have a great mix of games this month. Do you dare to lead a team to save humanity? Maybe you would like to kick it into high gear in some beastly wheels? Whether you’re hacking and slashing your way through dungeons or slaying monsters — you have it all. Let’s check out this month’s Games with Gold!

  • Castlevania: Lords of Shadow (Xbox One/360 – $̶1̶9̶.̶9̶9̶ Free): Available – Aug. 16 to 31

Gears of War 4

First game we have lined up for this month’s Games with Gold is Gears of War 4. With the upcoming release of Gears of War 5 on September 10, 2019, now’s your chance if you’ve missed out on this previous title. Join JD, Kait and Del on their first crusade together.

After having to escape and rescuing their loved ones from an attack on their village, a new enemy is upon them. Squad up and unravel the mystery of where this nemesis came from. After completing the campaign by defeating the Swarm, jump in on some Horde and Versus multiplayer action.

Prior to getting ready for the release of Gears 5, complete the achievements and challenges from all three modes. This will earn you rewards and character skins that can be carried over to the new game. Don’t forget to master the Swarm, so then you’re ready to continue on with Kait’s story once Gears of War 5 releases in September.

Forza Motorsport 6

Next up, we have Forza Motorsport 6. Whether you are new or a huge fan of the franchise, the Forza series will keep your adrenaline pumping. Start your engines as you take on 24 other players in all weather conditions — day or night. Become the driver and race or customize over 450 Forzavista cars. Be able to experience your vehicle at full realistic simulation speeds and drive through 26 world-famous tracks.

Also, the game includes the Ten Year Anniversary Pack, which brings 10 additional foreign cars completely tuned up and ready to go. Race your way to victory while mastering your way around the roads as you take in the beautiful visuals.

Torchlight

Third on the list this month is Torchlight. Developed and published by Runic Games, your adventure awaits in this award-winning Action RPG. Have your choice at three separate character classes: Destroyer, Alchemist or Vanquisher as you slay through hordes of monsters in randomized dungeons.

Explore through this boom town as you collect loot, learn unique skills and level up to save Torchlight — or possibly the world. It’s sequel, Torchlight II, also heads its way on Xbox One September 3. So don’t miss out!

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow

Lastly, we have Castlevania: Lords of Shadow. Play as Gabriel Belmont who is raised by the Brotherhood of Light. You start your quest off already in a destroyed world. It is the end of days and unholy powers currently consumes this broken Earth.

Guide Gabriel to take down the three factions of the Lords of Shadow while using your retractable chain whip, Combat Cross, as your weapon of choice. Use that anger to take down those who took what mattered the most from you. Your mission is to bring balance to the world!

There you have it, Fanatics! That sums up August 2019’s Games with Gold lineup. Which games will you be playing out of the four? Sound off in the comments below, and we’ll see you in September!
