Dead Trigger 2 Review | A World of Zombie Killing in the Palm of Your Hands

This review is long overdue. I have been playing Dead Trigger 2 since they released their Football Mazzacre in July and I have been so engulfed that I haven’t had time to tell everyone about it. I have come across very few games that have mastered graphics in the way that MADFINGER Games has. Dead Trigger 2 is a first person zombie shooter game that is set in a world where humans are fighting against zombies.

Dead Trigger 2 Campaigns

Dead Trigger 2 was released in October 2013, but MADFINGER is keeping all of their players entertained. Every few weeks they release a new tournament or introduce new weapons that will keep the game interesting. When playing you have the opportunity to follow the game’s set story campaign in one of the 9 different regions or opt out and play a tournament in the Purgatory Arena. Sometimes you have the ability to go to a city that is in serious need of your services. Players can play different roles in these cities, as a retriever of goods or a sniper. Each player is given a team, composed of people you rescue throughout the game. There is a medic, an engineer, a smuggler, a tech and a gunsmith.  As the game progresses there are upgrades available for your team in your hideout.

Dead Trigger 2 Hideout

One of my favorite parts of Dead Trigger 2 is having the ability to fit it to my time frame. If I want to play something quick, I don’t have to follow the story campaign, I can go help out another city and use the skills I am best at (sniping) to earn the most points and money. MADFINGER also created a story campaign where the player can choose the level of difficulty for each step. Some missions will be easier and players can tailor their settings for the best reward. Mainly, I love games that give me options and Dead Trigger 2 allows you to truly customize your experience.

Dead Trigger 2 is available on iOS, Android, Facebook and Amazon for download. When going through the missions I forget that I am playing on my cell phone and not with a game console. MADFINGER has done a great job at seamlessly using controls on your screen that make the player feel as if you are using a controller. I have an HTC One and the game is pretty good on my battery life to have so much complexity. If I am not actively on the game it doesn’t affect my battery much. A large downside of the game is that MADFINGER chooses to update you with notifications very frequently, so make sure to disable notifications for the game if this becomes bothersome to you as well.
