The Crackdown 2 demo goes live on June 21st, while the game will be released on July 6th for the XB360. Once you load up the demo, a familiar voice speaks to you as you’re being shot at. Notice the timer at the top of the screen; you have thirty minutes to play the demo. No worries though, once the time is up, you can load up a new game. For some, thirty minutes is just a tease.
The feel and game play is about the same as the original Crackdown. You still get to collect ability orbs and on the left side of the screen it will let you know how well your character is doing and what skills you need to work on to evolve him. There are also renegade orbs that you can acquire, but you had better move fast, the orbs move quickly. It’s clear that this game will be fun to play with or without friends and if you choose to follow the story or to just mess around in Pacific City.
For those achievement whores out there, you are able to unlock requirements for achievements for Crackdown 2. If you meet said requirements, you will be awarded with the achievement once you play the full version of the game, as long as you play on Xbox Live.
