Square Enix has announced that the classic smash-hit, Chrono Trigger, is on it’s way back to your living rooms, via your Wii’s Virtual Console. Praised by fans and critics alike as being one of the greatest games of all time, this is sure to bring smile’s to a lot of faces. For those who have never played the game, you’re in for a real treat.
For it’s time, Chrono Trigger was revolutionary with it’s multiple endings, plot and character-related sidequests, and a unique battle system that quickly set the standard for role-playing games.
The story is about a newly developed teleportation device malfunctioning at the Millennial Fair, young Crono must travel through time to rescue his unfortunate companion from an intricate web of past and present circumstances. The swashbuckling adventure that ensues soon unveils an evil force set to destroy the world, starting Crono’s race against time to change the course of history and bring about a brighter future.
Chrono Trigger will be available May 16th for 800 Wii points.
