Capcom Confirms Console Release For Resident Evil: Revelations

Resident Evil: Revelations is no longer a Nintendo 3DS exclusive. Capcom has confirmed via press release that Resident Evil: Revelations will be coming to the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii U with physical releases on May 21st in North America and May 24th in Europe for $49.99. PC gamers will get a digital release on May 21st, as will those wanting a digital version for the PS3, with downloadable versions coming soon after for Xbox 360 and Wii U owners. This release also features a new enemy, extra difficulty mode and improvements to the Raid mode initially introduced in the 3DS version.

Resident Evil: Revelations takes place between Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5, and follows series mainstays Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield as they work to discover the truth behind the T-Abyss virus: a nastier version of the T-virus that started all of the zombie problems seen throughout the series. The Nintendo 3DS version, which launched last February, is known for being a hit with critics but also criticized for the introduction of the Circle Pad Pro add-on that has somewhat been left behind by Nintendo already.
