Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 players itching for a new map pack don’t have much longer to wait… at least, not on Xbox 360. Activision announced today the next set of DLC, Uprising, will be coming to Xbox Live Gold members on April 16th for 1200 Microsoft Points. The new pack includes four new multiplayer maps that take you around the world: “Magma,” a Japanese village overrun with lava from a nearby volcano, “Encore,” which takes place at an abandoned music festival in England, “Vertigo” takes you to a high-tech highrise in India for combat on multiple levels, and “Studio” is a remake of the popular “Firing Range” map from the original Call of Duty: Black Ops.
It also brings new content to the Zombies mode, such as “Mob of the Dead,” which puts you in the shoes of four prohibition-era mobsters (voiced by Ray Liotta, Chazz Palminteri, Joe Pantoliano, and Michael Madsen) facing an army of the undead at Alcatraz, and the new Purgatory mode that, in Activision’s words, “sends players into the afterlife.”
The Uprising map pack will eventually become available for PS3 and PC users as well, with no word on any eventual release for Wii U owners. The map is also available as part of the Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Season Pass, which gets you all of the game’s current and future DLC for a one-time fee of $49.99.
