Brave Wasteland 2 With This New Combat Trailer!

inXile Entertainment’s successfully kickstarted title, Wasteland 2, is set to release in just a few weeks and so comes the first of the official trailers!

Wasteland 2 is the sequel to the 1988 released original of the same title and was licensed to inXile Entertainment before launching a very successful kickstarter campaign. If you weren’t alive when the game was released and have since never had a chance to play the original, you may be more familiar with another series heavily inspired by Wasteland, known as Fallout. The original Fallout and follow-up sequel were excellent titles that took off running with the inspired core of what Wasteland was created with. inXile Entertainment is planning to leapfrog passed where the Fallout series left off and take Wasteland 2 even further.

Wasteland 2 has been in the Early Access phase for quite some time on Steam and has thus been critiqued and updated many times in it’s ever evolving process of going from an early Kickstarter project to a quality launch title. The trailer below details the character customization for your squad of badass Desert Rangers and gives a tutorial on how to use the terrain and cover system to your advantage in combat. It also shows a few of the many different types of enemies you’ll encounter while traversing the wastes and even drops a few hints on how best to approach those encounters.

Wasteland 2 is set to release on the 19th of September only on PC and from what I’ve seen and played, it’s shaping up to be a really cool experience. Stay posted on The Game Fanatics and watch for our upcoming Review of Wasteland 2 when it releases.
