Blue Microphones’ Raspberry Aims To Make Recording Compact

Blue Microphones’ name has become synonymous with audio recording in recent years. With the rise of home audio recording, podcasting, and streaming the company has carved out a niche all to itself. Today the company offered up a new option for mobile recording, Blue Microphones’ Raspberry.

The iOS and USB microphone comes with plug-and-play setup. Anyone should be able to get up and running with ease, which is ideal for podcasters who need to record from remote locations without compromising audio quality.

The compact Raspberry microphone comes with an included folding stand, which helps limit vibrations that cause quality problems when trying to record. The microphone has two knobs positioned on opposite sides – one for volume and the other for gain control which provides easy modification. The gain knob also serves as the mute button while pressed. Easy access controls like this are a life-saver when recording in less than ideal conditions. The Internal Acoustic Diffuser (IAD) technology inside provides a reduction of background noise, something both single speakers and group podcasts can benefit from.

Blue Microphones’ Raspberry features the familiar retro design in keeping with other models. Combining aluminum and leather provides an attractive accent that doesn’t feel out-of-place on the modern desk. The compact size is just right for mobile users on the go. The built-in stand provides some protection during travel, and remote locations are easy to set up by just tossing the microphone and a laptop in a backpack. As the smallest iOS and USB combination microphone Blue has made, the Raspberry is ideal at both saving space and producing high quality content, and setting up PC recording by plugging in the USB cable while connections to tablets or phones are simple with the included Lightning and USB cables.

Blue Microphones’ Raspberry is available now for $200 at all retailers where Blue products are sold.
