Batgirl Confirmed as DLC Character for Injustice: Gods Among Us

Warner Bros. Interactive has released a new trailer today revealing Batgirl as a playable character for Injustice: Gods Among Us. Unlike the DLC news from a few days ago Darrin wrote about that angered Season Pass holders, Batgirl will be included at no extra charge for Season Pass holders. For those who don’t have a Season Pass, Batgirl will run them a charge of $4.99 (400 MSP).

The reveal trailer shows Batgirl exacting revenge on The Joker who seems to be sporting his The Killing Joke Hawaiian threads. No word yet on the release of the Alan Moore inspired DLC Pack by the graphic novel of the same name, but unlike Batgirl, The Killing Joke pack will not be included for Season Pass holders.

If you’re not familiar with the Alan Moore graphic novel, The Killing Joke, in one part of the novel The Joker shoots and leaves Batgirl paralyzed. Years later, Batgirl finally has the opportunity to exact her revenge in Injustice: Gods Among Us, and she looks better than ever. She even looks like she plays better than Batman if I do say so myself.

The Batgirl DLC pack and The Killing Joke pack will be releasing soon for Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network. For those paying attention, there’s still no love for the Wii U version here.
