After taking home the Best Game award at the annual BAFTA Game Awards, Naughty Dog discussed Uncharted 4’s standalone DLC The Lost Legacy.
IBTimes UK discussed Uncharted 4: The Lost Legacy with the Naughty Dog Arne Mayer. During the conversation, Mayer hinted at the game clocking in at around 10 hours with a potential reveal coming in the near future.
“There’s no way we could, sort of, constrict and restrain ourselves, and that’s exactly what was happening here. When we were doing story pitches, we were coming up with a game that would be over ten hours long and so we suddenly realised everything we said was true and we couldn’t keep it short.”
The latest outing, set in India, will not feature Nathan Drake but instead follows Chloe and Nadine as they recover a fabled artifact while simultaneously keeping it out of the hands of a war profiteer.
The latest Uncharted DLC doesn’t seem to be trying anything surprisingly fresh with its story – outside of taking the story away from someone who’s last name is Drake. However, Naughty Dog is more than capable of taking even the simplest idea and launching it into a full-scale epic.
There is no release date listed for Uncharted 4: The Lost Legacy but it would be safe to assume one will be announced at E3 2017.
