What We Played During Week 16

Welcome to Press Start (What We Played)! This is a weekly segment that dives into what we here at The Game Fanatics have played during this past week. What did you game?

  • Jeff: I finished both Crash Bandicoot and Medal of Honor, only one of which was much fun. Crash ended on a very easy note, not the dramatic finish I was hoping for. Medal of Honor, on the other hand, ended on an unexpectedly somber note, but not one good enough to pick up the boring first half. I’ve started the Jak and Daxter trilogy, in hopes of finishing Naughty Dog‘s second trilogy by the time The Last of Us releases. Whether I do or not, the first game has been good fun so far.
  • Darrin: Playing back thru Injustice: Gods Among Us. A truly great fighter with a better-than-most story. Also planning a second playthrough of Dishonored.
  • Jen: Tried out Sonic Dash on my iPhone. I’m not really into the whole iOS gaming scene, rather play on my 3DS/PsP, so my time with Sonic Dash was short. Plus I had limited time since I was playing on my break at work. I might give it another go. Played SWTOR of course and I finally finished The Walking Dead game. Amazing game and I am looking forward to season two this fall.
  • Arnell: Playing Injustice. It’s the first fighting game I’ve bought in a long time. Totally liked the story, so much action. Now I’m just going for unlockables while learning new characters and determining favorites. I was also playing through Kirby’s Adventure (30 cents on the Wii U VC). I just beat it. Never played it back when it originally came out so it’s nice to see Kirby’s roots. Such a weird pairing of games to bounce back and forth between, ha.
  • William: Last week I put Bioshock Infinite behind me, and I have since been trying, hard, to play Atelier Ayesha. So far it’s been pretty rough. I usually love my RPGs, but this one has the slowest intro…I’ll make another attempt this week, and if I can’t get into then, it may be a lost cause.
