The Ubisoft team released the first developer diary of their upcoming game, DRIVER San Francisco, today which fills us in on the story of John Tanner, a street racer turned undercover detective.
The video shows off the iconic engine behind the game, which features amazingly realistic character and vehicle models, and of course, having been in development for 5 years, we expect nothing less.
As you’ll see in the trailer below, the Ubisoft dev team have taken the DRIVER experience to a whole new level, not only graphically, but story-wise as well, implementing new features and capabilities to the game.
DRIVER San Francisco extends the cinematic car chase experience with a groundbreaking new gameplay feature called “shift.” Gamers will play as Detective John Tanner on a relentless manhunt for crime lord Charles Jericho through the hills of the City by the Bay. With over 100 licensed vehicles and its timeless setting, unique car handling and renewed playability, DRIVER San Francisco will revitalize the over-the-top car chase experience for the current generation of gaming platforms.
