Even in combat, Alice: Madness Returns continues to excel in artistic merit. Colorful flashes of light and even vivid blue butterflies flutter about as Alice attacks her enemies. We also get a peak at the gameplay for hysteria mode, which kicks in if Alice is close to death and enables her to give one last-ditch effort to defeat enemies.
