Aliens, Conspiracies and McDonald’s – Weekly Movie Trailer Recap

Welcome back to the latest and greatest in the world of trailers! Did you miss me? I apologize for the week off from weekly post but with the holidays there was just a strong lack of content in the trailer department. Have no fear though, that time is over and with that let us jump into your Weekly Movie Trailer Recap.

Alien: Covenant

Our first trailer is of a movie that I am very excited for this year. One that I have been waiting for for quite some time now and that is Alien: Covenant. Covenant is the sequel to 2012’s Alien prequel, Prometheus. That’s right, a sequel to a prequel. Be sure to not watch this trailer at work as it is a red band trailer and that means mature content! Just make sure your boss is not around at least. Then take your boss to go see it in theaters on May 19th, 2017.

Fifty Shades Darker

Speaking of trailers you probably shouldn’t watch at work, I present to you the new Fifty Shades Darker trailer. This is actually titled as an extended trailer, but it is still only 2 minutes long. The standard movie trailer is 2 and a half minutes, but that’s what they are calling it! I never say the first film, Fifty Shades of Grey so I can’t say I am too excited for this one. Although, seeing how the first made over $560 million, there is definitely an audience without me. Fifty Shades Darker comes out just in time for Valentine’s Day on February 10th, 2017.

The Founder

You read that right in the title, there is a movie about McDonald’s coming soon. Very soon actually, on January 20th. The Founder is a biopic on the history and rise of the McDonald’s company and looks to be an interesting movie. The trailer for The Founder is quick and to the point at a 1 minute runtime but check it below! Also, it throws me off seeing Nick Offerman completely shaved. It’s not right.

Taboo

The final trailer this week is for a television series premiering this Saturday, Taboo. Starring Tom Hardy, Taboo is set in 1814 and follows James Delaney on his return home to inherit an empire and rebuild his life. James will soon learn that his father’s legacy is filled with conspiracy, murder and betrayal. To see what happens in this new series, watch the trailer below and catch the premiere this weekend on FX.

That wraps up this edition of Weekly Movie Trailer Recap. I read that we are gonna get some good trailers soon. Don’t forget to stop by next week to see the latest trailers!
