Microsoft has announced that Dishonored will be free to download for all Gold members. The download is only available for the Xbox 360, and will remain as a permanent and playable title should the membership expire.
Dishonored is played in the first person perspective, the story follows Corvo Attano, a bodyguard turned assassin after being framed for murder. Corvo will have his revenge, but it is down to you whether he does so by stealth or blatant and unhinged violence.
Dishonored is the latest addition to the free-to-play titles offered by Microsoft for all Gold members. Xbox One owners, fret not, you will have the option to download Crimson Dragon and Strike Suit Zero, although these titles will only be available whilst a Gold membership is active, unlike Xbox 360 owners who will keep Dishonored even if their membership expires.
Microsoft implemented ‘Games with Gold’ for the Xbox 360 in June 2013. Since then, a reported 12 million people have downloaded free content as part of their membership. Previously released titles have included Dark Souls, Charlie Murder and Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition. Gold members will also receive notable discounts on titles purchased via the Xbox Marketplace.
