Battlefield: Hardline Beta Goes Live on PC

PC fans who have been heavily excited since the E3 2014 unveiling of Battlefield: Hardline–a Visceral Games and Electronic Arts collaborative project that expands on the hit series–will find themselves shouting for joy as EA has opened up the beta version of the game to download today. The beta is currently hosted on EA’s official signup page. Battlefield: Hardline takes an old-school cops and robbers concept and places it within Visceral Game’s ever evolving vision of online first-person shooting action. Players get the chance to play the good guy or the bad guy here, and they won’t be doing it alone if they partake in team squads–criminals or the SWAT-esque police force dubbed as Special Response Units. Heist and Rescue missions will be few of the primary online options that will be playable one the game launches.

There are plenty of perks that gamers will receive just for participating in the beta event. When it comes to the weapons that players will be using to take out their opponents, extra camouflage, skin and sights will be included in the package. Players who continue playing in one of the open multiplayer modes until they reach the 10th rank for their character will receive an additional DLC add-on known as the Battlepack once Battlefield: Hardline releases on Oct. 21 for the PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and 4.
