If you’ve been looking to play Telltale Games‘ five-part game based on The Walking Dead, but you maybe wanted a physical copy, the wait is almost over. The retail edition of The Walking Dead hits PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on December 11th at a suggested retail price of $29.99. The episodic series has been raved about by critics for its engrossing gameplay, including scenarios where you have to choose who lives and who dies. Some have no doubt waited for all five episodes to be collected before jumping into the story.
For the hardcore Walking Dead fans, there are still some extremely limited Collector’s Editions of the game available for pre-order at GameStop. For $70, you’ll get the game, plus an exclusive edition of The Walking Dead Compendium One: over 1,000 pages of Robert Kirkman‘s original comic book, collecting the first 48 issues. Best Buy stores will have a Limited Edition cover variant for all platforms, along with an exclusive poster insert. Best Buy is also the only place you can buy the physical copy of the game for PC.
For now, the physical release is only for North American fans, but Telltale says other territories will be getting disc-based versions “soon.”
