Fallout Shelter Finally on Android Devices

The much loved Fallout Shelter is finally making its debut on Android as of today.

This mobile game from Bethesda was first released on iOS devices on June 14th, 2015 right after the E3 announcement from the company. It was originally supposed to simply satiate Fallout fans’ desires for the upcoming Fallout 4 but it instead became one of the biggest iPhone games to date, surpassing even Candy Crush Saga in sales. Not only that but reviewers also gave this doomsday simulator incredibly high scores due to its fun and relaxed gameplay in addition to a player-friendly approach to in-app purchases. All in all, Fallout Shelter was originally released as a small publicity stunt but it became a great and profitable game in its own right.

The gameplay revolves around a Vault which the player controls and must micromanage. The Vault contains a variety of people living inside it which can reproduce, be sent on missions, etc. etc. The player must make sure that their Vault is kept stable and to also protect against invading troops whilst expanding and improving at the same time. Fallout Shelter is quite the addicting game, and was not available for most of the mobile market before today.

After playing for some time your Vault can look like this.

The release for Android will include all previous game updates including Mr. Handy, a helpful robotic companion, as a premium reward. It also includes the newest Deathclaw and Molerat invasions which have been made recently available for iOS players. Let’s see if Fallout Shelter can have the same impact on Android as it did on iOS.
