With Medal of Honour and Call of Duty: Black Ops out and taking over the online gaming community, many think that Zipper Interactive FPS MAG would be collecting dust on gamers shelves.
That couldn’t be further from the truth.
According to Zipper community boss Jeremy Dunham said this was far from being the case. He said this in response to the many posts left on the websites forums, that the game was starting to lose its appeal because of them competition.
“This is incorrect – MAG has more concurrent players than SOCOM Confrontation worldwide on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. This has been true for every month since MAG’s release on January 26,” he said.
“Obviously we don’t hit the same numbers we had in our first few months in terms of concurrent and daily users, but we’re still amongst the most played online PS3 games out there.”
Since then MAG has received an update (2.0), which added Move support and the “Escalation Pack” add-on, as the game is currently approaching its first anniversary.
