XBox Live Prices to Go Up

Starting November 1st, the price to have an XBox Live gold account will be going up.

Since launching Xbox LIVE in 2002 we have continually added more content and entertainment experiences for our members, while keeping the price the same. We’re confident that when the new pricing takes effect, an Xbox LIVE Gold membership will continue to offer the best value in the industry.

Those who have just renewed their XBL gold account might have just lucked out until their subscription expires.

The new prices are as follows:

One month is $7.99 will now be $9.99
Three month is $19.99 will now be $24.99
One year is $49.99 will now be $59.99

This news comes from Major Nelson’s blog.

I’m interested to see if a lot of XB360 games will switch to the silver account. Do you think XBL gold is worth $60?

The Game Fanatics; Nerd Culture With A Lil' Seasoning

The Game Fanatics is a nerd culture community run by a team of diverse content creators.  We are the nerds our friends ask whether or not the new Mortal Kombat game slaps, which anime not to miss this season, or if that new smart TV holds up to true 4K gaming. The weebs who’ll walk you through our personal ranking of Hov’s discography, the most useless keyblades in Kingdom Hearts history, and the Attack on Titan lore without skipping a beat or scuffing our grails.

At The Game Fanatics, it is our mission to celebrate games, and the awesome people who make them.
