Xbox has yet to reveal the final lineup for Games with Gold October but there’s already a leaky hint in the wide web. While it’s not the first time a leakage like this happens, do take everything with a grain of salt to avoid future disappointments. The good news is that we are at the gates of October already. Meaning that Microsoft will probably send an official confirmation soon enough.
If the leaked image was to be true, however, we are looking at a pretty staked month of October, with top-notch titles for all tastes. Devil May Cry and Shadows of Mordor look particularly luring for Xbox One, while Xbox 360 users would be getting the retro-compatible Castlevania: Lords of Shadow and Blood Drive.
September is not over yet so there are still some nice games in stock for you. The current line-up of Games with Gold September is including Forza Motor Sport: Racing of the Year Edition (September 1st to 30th), Oxenfree (September 16th to October 15th) and Battlefield 3 (September 16th to September 30th). At least these ones are real and already accessible to you!
Halo Games in Microsoft’s Backwards Compatibility Program
On another note, fans of the Halo series should keep track to their libraries. Last week Microsoft added four games of the series to Xbox One’s compatibility program: Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, and Halo 4. This includes all the original campaigns, multiplayer plus DLC packs.
While Halo: The Master Chief Collection remains your best option to play the improved versions of these, enjoying them for free is also an alternative much welcomed.
