I am interested in starting a Quiz Bowl club at my high school, but I am not sure how I can go about doing that. What competitions would we enter? And what should we do as a club?

When Americans celebrities or personalities of some sort are interviewed on British TV, particularly on comedy programmes, I often notice that a lot of the jokes the British presenters make often go completely over their heads, and the audience start laughing and the American sits there forcing a smile and looking completely confused.
Not all, but a lot of Americans seem to struggle with British humour and just don’t understand it very well.

I want to have a good sense of humour to impress my friends and liven up the atmosphere sometimes as it does tend to get a little dull in my house. Does anyone know how I can get a good sense of humour?

    What is Chinese humour like.

I have found that many Chinese like Mr. Bean and some even see him as a sex symbol. However to someone whos from the UK hes one of the classics…..

That makes up the core of Chinese humour, do they like slapstick, dark humour, etc do they like the styles of Fawlty Towers, Month python would they understand the likes of something like “Little Britian”.

A sense of humour is a desirable characteristic in a person. But how does a serious and borderline neurotic person, who doesn’t know how to lighten up become funny?

I’m writing a story which is incredibly dark, focusing on miserable topics such as abuse and addiction. I want to put a little warmth and humour into the story to prevent it from being so dark it puts people off reading it. Do you have any advice that will make this easier? Much, much appreciated.

I just need some good topics for a quiz that I will perform on assembly where the students selects a question the teacher must answer from a list of possible topics and the teacher does the same. Any ideas would be great.
