With the Wii U here and Microsoft and Sony’s next-gen consoles on the horizon, it’s not surprising to see next-gen videogames being announced at the VGAs.
The first next-gen title announced was Moby Dick Studio’s The Phantom Pain, kicked off via a world premiere trailer. Unfortunately, after a confusing mix of fire, angst, and a Snake-look alike, I still have no idea what’s going on. I can only glean that this will be some sort of survival horror title, where you’ll probably spend half your time confusedly stumbling around burning hallways. Joy.
