What We Played October 22 – 28

Welcome to Press Start! This is a weekly segment that dives into what we here at The Game Fanatics are currently playing. Feel free to leave a comment with what you’ve been playing or if you have any questions about the games that we are currently involved with.

Jeff: I’ve been in a Call of Duty mood ever since I finished World at War last week, so my free time has all been going to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. I’m not a fan of online multiplayer, but the campaigns are endlessly entertaining and solidly built.

Jake: Busy, busy week. Medal of Honor and Forza Horizon. The former is pretty awful, but the latter is pretty slick

Jen: I finally got off of Voss with my Smuggler, who went up two levels this week in SWTOR. My Jedi Shadow is moving quickly and I think she might catch up with my Smuggler. XCOM got a little attention this week, but not enough, as well as Rock Band Blitz.  With Halo 4 almost upon us, Enis, Logan, Ben and myself did a partial Legendary run with Halo Reach. It was tons of fun and hopefully we can finish up the rest of the game before Halo 4 drops.

Enis: Halo 4 is soooo close! In my head I’ve been playing it a lot. In the meantime, I got the chance to play some Halo: Reach on Legendary again to help Jen finish her run through of it, we were accompanied by Ben and Logan as well. Blasted through half of the campaign in just under two hours. I’ve also continued Mass Effect 3 MP. I am obsessed withe the challenges, but I know that’ll fade away as soon as Halo 4 drops. Most of my time will be dedicated to that.

Joel: Have not had much time this week to play on my consoles so I have resorted to Mobile Gaming on my PS Vita and Galaxy S II. Downloaded Bard’s Tale on Android for $2.99 and its hilarious! I am enjoying the dialogue between NPC’s, and it is a great action-rpg. On my Vita I have been playing Final Fantasy VII and Persona 3. Cannot wait for Assassin’s Creed Liberation to be released, it is looking like a hit for the Vita.

Chris C.:  Have not gamed as much as I’ve liked but with all the football madness going on, I keep flocking back to Madden 13. I also keep taking RG3 & the Redskins and exploit him the way I always hope he will perform on Sundays anchoring 2 of my fantasy football teams.
