Watch: This is Star Wars Battlefront II

Battlefront 2

In a trailer that aims to blow away the expectations of the original revamp to the series Star Wars Battlefront, the Star Wars Battlefront II trailer titled “This is Star Wars Battlefront II” gives fans of the series exactly what they’ve been yearning for in regards to what can be expected from this highly anticipated sequel.

Gameplay and stunning visuals alone carry the trailer but the real eye candy is a full look at all maps and game modes available at launch. With charts displaying how much content is to be expected in comparison to its predecessor (not including the free post-launch updates), Battlefront II is shaping up to be the true return to the series that fans of the PS2 games patiently waited for.

One new addition not talked about as much previously is the change to star cards and how they’re earned. While before players could spend credits to give them one rechargeable perk, it appears now that they’re more closely aligned with spawning heroes, vehicles, special weapons and more, attainable now through loot crates rather than credits. Players can earn from a scale of various rarities that will impact how effective the star card is.

Whether it’s story, split-screen arcade, or multiplayer that’s got you hooked, Battlefront II looks to have it all. Star Wars Battlefront II is set to release on November 17th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
