Watch: Smash TV Style Circuit Breakers Comes To Consoles

After a successful run on PC (scoring an 88% positive user rating on Steam), Circuit Breakers is set to make its console debut later this month on the 25th for PS4 and Xbox One.

Circuit Breakers is a Smash TV type twin-stick shooter game where up to six players can run around frantically and blow stuff up. The game originally released on PC via Steam way back in November 2015 and developer Excalibur is finally bringing the madness to current-gen consoles.

Circuit Breakers has been built with some retro love in mind and features hectic levels along with a bevvy of playable characters, enemies and some crazy firepower. The game features a unique tug-of-war-style mechanic where players need to acquire crystals from downed enemies in order to increase the power of their weapons. However, the stronger your weapon gets, the quicker your amassed crystals will drain.

Considering the differences between both current-gen consoles, the PS4 will allow players to use the Share Play options making it easy to play with their PSN friends online.

And I know what you’re asking yourself. Up to six players? Is that online only? Well no. Good news is Circuit Breakers will offer couch co-op gameplay, making it the ideal game to play when friends to decide drop unexpectedly. PS4 players will be able to play with up to four friends locally while the Xbox One version will support couch co-op up to six players.

And if you’re feeling more competitive, you’ll be able to replay the game in order to reach a higher score and attain the top of the online leaderboards.
