The Walking Dead: Season 2 Now Out on Xbox One & PlayStation 4

Following The Walking Dead: Season 1’s release on eighth-gen platforms earlier this month, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 owners can now grab The Walking Dead: Season 2 starting today.

Based on Robert Kirkman’s The Walking Dead comic book series, TellTale Games has achieved global success and recognition in developing a story-driven, emotional adventure set in the same universe.

Much like it’s predecessor, The Walking Dead: Season 2 is split into five distinct chapters, as gamers guide Clementine through a point-and-click adventure, forging relationships with new characters and uncovering hidden truths, all while attempting to survive the zombie apocalypse.

While there lays valid questioning in what technical improvements have been made in porting the series to Xbox One and PlayStation 4, there is no denying the pleasure of experiencing the narrative yet a second time on new hardware. This port is a great way to introduce newcomers to TellTale’s successful series and even allow existing fans to relive some of last year’s best gaming moments by following an identical experience similar to their first playthrough of the game or even exploring entirely new narrative paths.

Earlier this year at San Diego Comic Con, the developer confirmed that The Walking Dead: Season 3 is coming to eighth-gen platforms in the near future. In addition to this, the studio’s other recent project, The Wolf Among Us, is also being ported to Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Gamers can expect to get their hands on Bibgy Wolf’s adventure on November 4th.

The Walking Dead: Season 2 is out now in stores and available via digital downloads as well.
