Viking-inspired Beat-Em-Up Now on Kickstarter

Indie game developer Monster Couch has announced their first game, Die For Valhalla!, along with its Kickstarter campaign in order to complete the development.

The game is currently scheduled to release this Spring for Mac, Linux, PC, PS4, and Xbox One, providing the crowdfunding campaign is successful. Things are looking good; as of this writing, the game has amassed $3,681 of its $5,600 goal with 32 days left to spare.

This 2D beat-em-up features a ghostly witch sent to help Vikings save their world. Unfortunately, things aren’t what they seem and players will have to enter a battle for death in a stunningly beautiful rogue-like environment.

Along with beating up evil, players will be able to accomplish heroic deeds like rescuing other warriors. Furthermore, by gaining Glory, players will be rewarded with new abilities and bonuses. The game will also shed some light on the Myths of Vikings.

Die For Valhalla! includes seven types of Vikings to possess and summon, each with their own unique ability and combos. With the right skills, players can even possess objects and monsters. Four-player co-op (single-screen) action is available, too, in the cool story- and death-match modes.
