Say goodbye, sweetie to 2013!
A new year is approaching fast and that means a new year of video game releases and delays. Which video games will see the light of day and which video games will get pushed further and further away from us? This is the year of the next generation however the PS3 and Xbox 360 will still be dishing out new games. And we cannot dismiss the WiiU, PC/MAC gaming as well as the Vita and the 2DS/3DS. What we do know is that 2014 will be a mix bag for video games, that is for certain.
January:
The re-imaging Tomb Raider game finds a new home on XBO and PS4. This will allow those gamers that didn’t get a chance to try out Tomb Raider to witness a new Lara Croft with Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition.
February:
Fable Anniversary hits the XB360 with revamped visuals from the original Fable game. Lightning returns for the third installment from Final Fantasy XIII. Thief also returns making its debut on last gen and current gen systems.
March:
This will be a busy month with Titanfall and Dark Souls II. Smite hits Windows and Final Fantasy X/X-2 is back with an HD remake for the Vita and PS3. Cole returns seven years later in Second Son from the inFamous series.
June:
We might see Elder Scrolls Online for the PS4 and XBO in June but it could be one of those games that will get pushed around the place.
September:
Destiny (aka not Halo) will hopefully be released on past generation systems as well as the PS4 and XBO. This is the MMO but not an MMO shooter from Bungie. Destiny will be trying new tricks by allowing quick matchmaking and running on a new game engine.
The Unknowns:
There is no doubt that we will see new episodes of The Wolf Among Us and The Walking Dead from Telltale Games. Both video games always end in such a fashion that makes us scream for more. Will we see a new Halo game in 2014 besides Spartan Assault? The third Dragon Age game might be released in late 2014 but don’t hold your breath. Bioware and EA are taking their time with Inquisition. Mario and his friends make their mark in 2014 with a new Mario Kart and Super Smash game that proves to be addicting as their past installments and Yoshi pops out in a new game. We also have Watch Dogs, two new Tom Clancy games, The Order: 1886 and many more video games that do not have a solid release date but might end up being 2014 releases.
Which video games are you looking forward to in 2014? Which games will end up being 2015 releases?
