Ultimate HD Edition of Resident Evil 4 Coming to PC

Today Capcom has announced that their critically acclaimed title, Resident Evil 4, will be releasing for PC next month on February 28, 2014. Resident Evil 4 will be available to purchase globally through Steam as well as at local retailers for Windows PC in Europe.

Resident Evil 4 received numerous “Game of the Year” awards when it debuted and it still stands as one of the highest-reviewed games of all time on MetaCritic with an amazing ranking of 96. In an effort to upgrade Resident Evil 4 to the highest graphical quality to date, Capcom has fully optimized the title for the wide screen, texts have been sharpened and textures and texture resolutions have been upgraded on characters, backgrounds and in-game props.

Resident Evil 4 is currently available to pre-order on Steam for $19.99(€19.99). Alongside the announcement of the Ultimate HD Edition for Resident Evil 4, it has been announced that those who purchase early will receive a digital soundtrack with more than 60 tracks and a digital artbook for Resident Evil 4.

The title will run at a smooth 60 frames per second for the first time ever and will come with full Steam support with Steam Achievements, Steam Cloud, Steam Trading Cards, global leaderboards, and full game controller support. The new PC version will include everything from the prior iterations including subtitle support in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, and Japanese as well as previously released Separate Ways epilogue.
