Releasing a new product to consumers is always a big deal, and with that comes the expectations of such a product being exceptional and in working condition from day one.
In recent years the problem of launch devices has gotten better (Microsoft and Sony) but some are still cautious.
Word has it that the latest offering from Sony Ericsson’s, The Xperia Play will see a slight delay in the UK. This comes after a telecom provider found several bugs in the phone’s software.
O2 Lead Test Stuart Hibberd commented; “We’ve been testing the phone non-stop for several weeks and have found some bugs in the software that.”
“If they’re not fixed, means customers won’t have a great experience.”
“We’ve been working with Sony Ericsson to get these bugs ironed out, but haven’t been able to get them fixed in time for us to be able to launch the phone on April 1 as we originally planned.”
