We’re past the halfway point of the year and we’ve got quite a few AAA heavy hitters coming out this fall. That got me thinking, what about some games that are lesser known, or titles we’ve been waiting on for so long they may have fallen off our radar.
Here’s a list of 5 games still coming out in 2017 you may have forgotten about.
Disclaimer: This video was recorded before Hurricane Harvey, which affected our ability to edit and publish it on time. Some of the games on this list have already been released. Doh!
Need for Speed Payback
Everybody has been having fun with Forza Horizon 3 that they have forgotten about the next great racing game. Forza Motorsports …Wait … there is a new Need for Speed game?!? I had no idea!
Need for Speed Payback, or as one YouTube commenter called it “Need for Furious Theft Auto 9: The Crew” is coming out November 7, 2017. It will be the most cinematic Need for Speed to date and feature a detailed and robust customization system.
You have the ability to find abandon cars and fix every nook and cranny until it’s a monster on the road. With all the racing games out it’s understandable if you missed your need for speed.
Cuphead
Cuphead has been a highly anticipated game since its announcement. But after each delay, the anticipation dwindled into almost nothing. E3 gave us an official release date of September 29, 2017, but that was quickly overshadowed by the release dates of games like Super Mario Odyssey and assassins creed origins.
Studio MDHR may not have released the game when they initially hoped, but this zany side-scrolling shooter will still be worth the wait.
Knack 2
Knack was a PlayStation 4 launch title in North America. The game followed the adventures of Knack. A creature whop attracts relics to himself to increase his size and destructive power. The game was met with mixed reviews and a forgettable journey, but that did not stop it from getting a sequel.
Knack 2 is scheduled to release September 5th, 2017 and will feature more destruction, a brand new co-op mode and continue where the original game left off.
Ark: Survival Evolved
So this is a game that you probably thought it was already out – and I don’t blame you. It’s sold 5.5 million copies already! But how could that be? How Sway? A game where you interact and fight with over 60 species of dinosaurs, Ark Survival Evolved has been in development since late 2014. The developers released piece mealed expansion packs and modes starting in March of 2016. To date though, the full game has not been released and the parts that are playable are only available on PC and Xbox. Ark Survival Evolved will finally release on August 29th on PC and Consoles.
Tacoma
Fullbright had the game industry buzzing with anticipation when they showed Tacoma off to the world. The first trailer was shown in 2014 and has been covered in detailed since then. Now the game is no longer lost in space and you will be able to sept into the shoes of Amy Ferrier as she boards Tacoma on her first day of the job. And search through clues and help her discovered what happened to the crew on August 2, 2017
